The Boac Hotel

We really planned everything from our transportation logistics, our hotel accommodation and to our tour inside the island of Marinduque. As for our hotel, its really important that we stay on a cozy, relaxing place, accommodating staffs and most of all strategically located for more accessible to anywhere.
The Boac Hotel in Marinduque is located in the province capital. It is accessible from all points of the province, and highly visible to locals and tourists alike due to its proximity to historical and cultural landmarks such as the Boac Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace and the Casa Real.

The proud history and the rich culture of the province is clearly reflected in the interior design of the hotel, most especially in the lobby. Wood decors and other native trimmings adorn every nook of the first level, lending an atmosphere of serenity and creating an ambiance of a cozy home. The mini-store, the café-cum-restaurant, and the pasalubong center on the same level showcase the local products and cuisine, truly a feast for the palate. The hotel also have a WiFi access in all areas.

There are some important places and a must see that is not accessible for public transportation like the Bathala Caves, and more. The hotel does not have a car rental service, so what we did is we rented an SUV at East point Hotel for 350 pesos per hour.

Marinduque was totally transformed since I saw it in 1997 for an NGO project. Accdg to a local documentary made some years ago, Marinduque is one of the poorest provinces in the Philippines. I wonder how it looks like now. Can you imagine that almost the whole province didn’t have electricity in 1997?
