Tapa is called by Filipinos on marinated pork or beef sirloin. One of the very famous breakfast by the locas here in the Philippines and they usually call it TAPSILOG (Tapa Sinangag at Itlog).
Here in my receipe of Tapa Rice, I made use of theTapa bought in Taal, Batangas. I usually buy Tapa in Taal because it is one of the best I’ve tried. Good thing we have a friend who’s parents sells Sepcial Tapa and Longganisa at the public market of Taal, Batangas. Gerry & Lheen is the name of the stall.

Anyway, Taal, Batangas is quite far from Manila to buy authentic tapas. You can actually make your own version of Tapa and you can check the beef tapa recipe and sinangag (garlic rice) here.
