I’ve been to General Santos City several times, and in each visit, I always make sure that I eat in this restaurant.
Honestly, I’m not really fond of eating seafood but I don’t know why I keep coming back to this place. I guess it’s because of their great culinary skills when it comes to seafood, which really makes foodies like me enjoy each dining experience here.
What are the reasons why I come back in a restaurant?
Freshness of ingredients, especially when it comes to seafood is a big factor. Rina, a friend of mine is allergic to seafood but she loves eating crabs! She told me that every time she eats crabs, prawns or shrimps, she would immediately get rashes all over her face if the seafood is not fresh.
And that’s why she also loves coming to Red Trellis, because no matter how much she eats, she gets no allergies because their seafood is really fresh.
A lot of the food on their menu are their chef’s personal creations. And I can say that they’re all delicious. And even if you don’t like seafood, they still have a lot of other non-seafood items on the menu which I’m sure you’ll enjoy.
Ambiance and Comfort
One thing I don’t like when eating in a restaurant is when the smell of the food sticks to my clothes.
I think the owners of Red Trellis considered that because they chose to provide an open-air, al-fresco dining experience for their guests. The tables and chairs are comfortable and the garden ambiance is well ventilated and very conducive for conversation with friends.
And, like most crab restaurants, you’ll be provided with your own bib to protect yourself form messy splats while eating their juicy crabs.
In case you find yourself in General Santos City, be sure to check out Red Trellis. It’s not strategically located, but you know it’s worth going there because a lot of people really make an effort to go and eat there, specially the seafood lovers.
