It’s going to be Christmas soon and we are now all busy with preparing our Noche Buena menu. I love the holiday season because it allows me to decorate the house with ornaments. Just look at my Christmas tree this year at the side.
Anyway, I love Christmas because it also allows me to plan what food to serve for Noche Buena.
Some of the traditional Noche Buena food which my family serves are:
Hamon – a Filipino favorite is of course the Christmas ham. Too hard to make on your own so just buy one at the grocery. Hehe.
Queso de Bola – the partner of the Christmas ham, but also, a great...

Until now, I’m still speechless. I was not expecting this! I was unprepared. Promise. The fact that it was the first category awarded that night didn’t help.
And the winner is … Bongga Ba!

I’m really greatful and thankful that Maya Kitchen Cullinary Arts Center invited me to attend one of their cooking demo. This time, Chef Gen Capati thought us how to make CBK Chicken or the Cook Book Kitchen Chicken.
As I’ve notice, this recipe (CBK Chicken) is simmilar to cordon bleu without the coating. Chicken brest fillet, cheese and ham! But CBK Chicken was prepared in a different way. I just find it interesting that’s why I really payed attention to this demo.
Now, at home, I was pretty excited to try what I’ve learned from Chef Gen Capati of Cook Book Kitchen Restaurant...
