I was curious when a friend of mine was selling her Tuyo Flakes in Olive oil over facebook. I bought a jar since it’s not that expensive. 180 pesos a jar? Not bad right? I’ve been fond of experimenting on pasta in garlic and olive oil for months now but this time with tomatoes and Tuyo Flakes (salted dried herring). Well, it went well so far. Since tuyo is already salty, I didn’t add any salt to this recipe, just pepper to taste. It is very easy to adjust the saltiness of this recipe just by adding grated Parmesan or cheddar cheese. Now here’s the recipe Tuyo Flakes Pasta...

I was craving for Pancake House Pan Fried Chicken one time and there were no Pancake House near my home and aside from that, I was tight on the budget. So to satisfy my cravings for Pan Fried Chicken, I really have to search over the Internet thinking if I could get a recipe instead. And I found one, but I was unsure if it would really taste like Pancake House’s chicken, so I decided to try it. The recipe I found required overnight marination. So I was a bit sad because I wanted to eat fried chicken that day. I thought it was just easy to make. So at that moment, I cooked something else instead....

I’m very thankful to a friend who gave me her Buffalo Wings recipe ala TGIFridays! I thought following a Buffalo Wings recipe is hard, and I have been searching online for a good recipe, but I was always doubtful and afraid that the one I will follow will fail to meet my expectations. Luckily, a friend posted her home-cooked Buffalo Wings as her dinner in her timeline on Facebook. I really craved when I saw her post, normally I really don’t ask but this time, I wanna take a shot and give it a try. So I asked her the recipe at the comment and she privately messaged me the Buffalo Wings...

Several years back, I and my friends had a tour around the Ilocos region. We visited some known old churches, famous landmarks and their finest beaches. And of course we also tried renowned Ilocano dishes like, vigan longanisa, pinakbet, kilawin, bagnet and many more. Most food menu of restaurants in Ilocos has Poqui-Poqui, which is an eggplant dish and we were afraid to try them because it doesn’t really look appetizing and it doesn’t have a detailed description. I don’t know if it’s just the picture, but I guess I am not that adventurous when it comes to food unless someone...

A few weeks ago, I was strolling inside South Supermarket in Alabang when I saw this food tasting booth. The booth was giving away food samples of beef yakiniku salad. I got interested because I’m always looking for different types of salads that I can prepare for dinners as part of my diet. So I approached the booth and tried their beef yakiniku salad sample, which tasted great – I love them! The staff at the booth gave me some recipe leaflets, and so I decided to buy the ingredients so I can try the recipes at home. Beef Yakiniku Salad Recipe Ingredients: 200gms U.S. Beef for yakinuku 2...
