Cebu’s Famous Rico’s Lechon Opens at the Global City

Cebu’s Famous Rico’s Lechon Opens at the Global City
The famous Rico’s Lechon of Cebu is now in town! We don’t need to go as far as Cebu just to experience Rico’s Lechon. You may now dine in or place your advance orders of Lechon at their first branch in Fort Entertainment Complex in Bonifacio Global City. I was one of the lucky guys who was invited to their soft opening Ricos Lechon first store and lucky too to meet the owner as well!  We had a chance to peek and glimpse inside their highly restricted Rico’s roasting area. I find them kinda strict in terms of sanitation because you need to wear hairnets before you can enter...

Tuyo Flakes Pasta (Spaghetti Aglio e Olio in Tuyo Flakes) Recipe

Tuyo Flakes Pasta (Spaghetti Aglio e Olio in Tuyo Flakes) Recipe
I was curious when a friend of mine was selling her Tuyo Flakes in Olive oil over facebook. I bought a jar since it’s not that expensive. 180 pesos a jar? Not bad right? I’ve been fond of experimenting on pasta in garlic and olive oil for months now but this time with tomatoes and Tuyo Flakes (salted dried herring). Well, it went well so far. Since tuyo is already salty, I didn’t add any salt to this recipe, just pepper to taste. It is very easy to adjust the saltiness of this recipe just by adding grated Parmesan or cheddar cheese. Now here’s the recipe Tuyo Flakes Pasta...

Pan Fried Chicken and Gravy ala Pancake House

Pan Fried Chicken and Gravy ala Pancake House
I was craving for Pancake House Pan Fried Chicken one time and there were no Pancake House near my home and aside from that, I was tight on the budget. So to satisfy my cravings for Pan Fried Chicken, I really have to search over the Internet thinking if I could get a recipe instead. And I found one, but I was unsure if it would really taste like Pancake House’s chicken, so I decided to try it. The recipe I found required overnight marination. So I was a bit sad because I wanted to eat fried chicken that day. I thought it was just easy to make. So at that moment, I cooked something else instead....
